We are proud to announce that we are the official beer partner of the Toronto Rock. Craft Beer and a Canadian National Past-time come together!

After every home Rock Game we will be hosting the Mill St. Post-Game Party at Joe Badali’s Ristorante. Fans can expect an exceptional experience with the opportunity to mix and mingle with Toronto Rock players and cheerleaders. We will of course be pouring our fresh local products on tap! Hope to see you there!

We are proud to announce that 7900 carollers joined us this past Sunday at Lowe’s Toronto Christmas Market for the World Carolling Challenge. We didn’t break the record but we did raise $7900 for the Daily Bread Food Bank! Thank you to all those who participated with us!

The Mill St. World Carolling Challenge takes a run at the world record for most carollers singing in one place at the Lowe’s Toronto Christmas Market in Toronto’s Distillery Historic District on Sunday, December 15th at 5pm.

The first 3000 carollers will be given a candle holder with a reusable LED light as the Candy Cane Carollers lead the singing with renditions of traditional holiday songs.

For each person that participates in the World Carolling Challenge, Mill St. will donate $1 to the Daily Bread Food Bank!

2013 Barley Wine, now available!

Barley Wines are traditional winter brews that originate from England. These robust ales are long-aged and can be enjoyed for years to come. English and Canadian malts, aromatic hops and careful aging in whiskey barrels make the 2013 vintage a complex and multi-facetted gem!

Look for our 2013 Vintage on LCBO shelves now in Ontario with limited distribution to follow in British Columbia.

ANNOUNCING WINTER SEASONAL SAMPLER

A message from Joel Manning:

I’ve chosen to include two of our traditional winter pub brands—the Distillery Ale and the Weizenbock to show off some of the range of over 30 beers that we make here at Mill Street every year. The two porters; Cobblestone Stout and Vanilla Porter are very popular brands of ours that are both Nitrogen-charged and showcase our technologically innovative use of a nitro can which is first in North America. Finally I have included the Original Organic Lager and our Tankhouse Ale with an eye to the past to showcase our two oldest and most famous brands—no Mill Street seasonal pack would be complete without them!

Vanilla Porter now in cans!

A cult favourite from our Toronto Brewpub, Vanilla Porter is an extra-smooth Nitrogen-charged English-style dark ale brewed with pure vanilla extract. Chocolate flavours dominate the beer with an underlying tone of dried fruit and a subtle finish that leaves you wanting more!

Look for it to hit LCBO shelves this week, with further distribution in Alberta, BC and New Brunswick. More Provinces TBD. Cheers!

Oktoberfest Beer

Nightmare on Mill Street

A devilishly delicious ale, brewed with real pumpkin and a generous amount of spice. This is smooth, medium, bodied amber ale is made with a blend of five malts, six spices, unmalted wheat, pure vanilla extract, and pumpkin in the mash. Its spicy aroma and hints of ginger and clove on the palate leave a lingering “pumpkin pie” aftertaste.

Oktoberfest Beer

Our “festbier” is brewed for fall celebrations, the best known being the Oktoberfest in Munich. Mill Street Oktoberfest Lager is brewed using only organic malts and hops. It has a soft, malty aromatic nose and a rich copper colour capped with a large creamy white head. At 5.5% it will keep you warm on a cool autumn evening.

Thanks everyone for your Earth Day support! We raised a total of $94,358.40!

Don Valley Bench – 4.8%

Curious Parrot

This is why we sometimes let our brewmaster out of the brewery! While on vacation Joel came across this distinctive style of golden ale brewed with loads of aroma hops for a strong pine/citrus scent but without the excessive bitterness of West Coast IPA’s. A bright white head on a burnished golden body makes this beer a thing of elegant beauty. Curious indeed…

Don Valley Bench Ale

First brewed to be served at the 2012 International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration in Niagara, our unfiltered wheat beer is oak-aged using English ale yeast to develop notes of apple and pear with a drying acidity on the finish. Tchin-tchin!
